TIMELINE
3–4 months, milestone-based
The brief

The business need
behind the build.

Welbilt needed a way for customers to book a van online without calling in. Prices needed to reflect the distance of each job, while the business retained control over approval before payment was requested.

How it works

A closer look
at the experience.

01

Enter the route

The customer adds pickup and drop-off addresses.

02

Measure the distance

Google Maps calculates the distance between the two points.

03

Calculate the fare

The system selects a van and applies the custom pricing calculation.

04

Review the booking

An admin reviews the job before payment is requested.

05

Send a payment link

Once approved, the customer receives an emailed payment link.

The implementation

The details
that mattered.

Distance-based pricing

Connecting Google Maps distance data with the van selection and custom fare logic.

Payment after approval

A separate custom plugin holds the booking for admin review, then sends the payment link once the job is approved.

What the work delivers

A connected
digital experience.

Customers can move from route entry to a booking request online, while the team keeps an approval step before payment.
